LIPSTICK & a few other's haul.

This is just a collective haul from may to this past weekend. I have been on this HUGE lipstick kick lately. I have no clue why because up until now my interest in lipstick was strictly for other people's makeup. I barely ever used it. But you'll see something's come over me because I bought, A LOT of them. Ridiculous. Anyways, let's get started!

First off as i stated before I've been trying to get my hair healthy again. Going from black, to blonde, to natural (light-medium brown) was hell on my poor hair. So I decided to buy the It's A 10 Miracle Leave- In Product & the Miracle Hair Mask. In short, I love them! I may review them later on.

The next couple of things I purchased from www.cherryculture.com last month.

Black label Lipsticks:

(left-right)Princess, Girly Pink, & Opium

And VS's Perfect Lip Stick In Heartbeat:

Last but not least, these are all the drug store items I picked up!

REVLON:

PhotoReady Concealer in 001 Fair. I'm not going to swatch it since it's just a concealer.

Color Burst Lipstick:

Carnation and Pink Sugar

Super Lustrous Lip Gloss:

Coral Reef & Firecracker

MAYBELLINE:

Colorsensationals:

Kind of a lot. But for a month's worth not too bad. Well, I have a few things I'm going to start doing but till I can get those together I figure this will do. :) let me know if you got any good stuff lately!

have a good week!

L'Oreal Magic Perfecting Base

So I was going to review the beauty blender sponge I bought, but to be honest I hated it & decided not to. However I started using the L'Oreal Magic Perfecting Base & I LOVE it. If you aren't familiar with this product it was put out quite a while ago with L'oreal's Studio Secrets line. This is what it looks like...
On the box it says:
get perfect skin texture instantly, wears all day.

silky, lightweight formula that glides onto skin.
velvety smooth feel.

it is supposed to smooth lines, hide pores, and banish imperfections.

Application Instructions:
-apply after moisturizer dot by dot blending in a circular motion. Flawless matte finish

Now, I've worn this for about 5 days now & I don't know why i didn't try this sooner! It's a whippy mouse like feel. It's a slight pink color. I just dab a clean finger in the product once for my forehead, and once for each side on my cheek & it's enough product. My skin is super oily through out the day & this keeps the oily away for the most part. That's the main reason i love it. It does smooth my skin texture out, and my make up does last all day. I would definitely re purchase this again!

may favorites♥ & weekly update!

hope everyone's may was good! mine was a bit rocky, but i'm pulling through. i have a few favorites, or a little more than that lol. lets get started!

Adele 21- i played this c.d. pretty much all month! she is amazing & i love her songs, soooo great!

now, about 2 months ago i went from black to my natural color. :x horrible to my hair! so i'm not dying it, trying to not heat style it often, & i've been trying out different treatments. this is one i've been LOVING.
the pantene moisturizing treatment for curly hair. it smells amazing & my hair is so soft after i use it! i only do this once a week, and normally just let my hair go natural those days.

another favorite i've had this month is the Bath & Body Works Sweet Pea Lotion<3 i don't even have to use perfume after that lotion it's so great. i've been using it pretty much every day.

Now on to Makeup:

I've been going back & forth between MAC & Revlon for my foundation but with my skin tone changing i don't want to buy MAC & not use it all, so back to Revlon ColorStay i went. I've used this for about 2 years now & i always go back to it. i use the oily/combo formula in the shade 180 & i'm a NC25/30 for reference.

I have been reaching for this every day, whether it be the brown or the black. it's so little it's easy to control & it stays really well. & so far i haven't experienced drying..
the MILANI eye tech liquid liner.

MAC's Warm Soul. i use this almost every day right now. it's so gorgeous on pretty much any skin tone.

Short & sweet lol

now for my update. so this morning, after i woke up i weighed myself & i'm at 120.0 so i've lost about 3.7 lbs. i'm handing this to water weight but i'm not sure. Now here are my measurements this week:

thigh: 21.5
butt: 38
hips :35
waist: 31
chest: 33.5
arms: 10

so i've lost a few inches all over. yay :) if you're on a journey like i am stay focused & don't beat yourself up. being healthy & doing things the right way so that way it stays that way is way more rewarding than the fad starvation diets.

getting back in shape journey

for some reason i can't get on my other blog so i'm just going to add it on here. :) i want to look & feel better about myself. so to get back to where i was previously i've decided to make some healthy life changes. i've been working out daily, eating good foods, & drinking tons of water. i'm pretty excited because in the past half week alone i already feel better, which helps motivate me to keep going. as of the 24th, which is when i weighed last, i was 123.7. i was close to 130 a few weeks ago & that was like a slap in the face. i'm 5' and i've NEVER been over 110 till now & it's time to get back to my target weight. i'm going to be taking measurements & weight every tuesday, (i was late on the measurement part). i did take measurements today & this is what they are...

Current:
weight: 123.7
thigh: 22 in
butt: 38
hips: 36
waist: 33.5
chest: 35
arms: 10.5

so i'll check back every tuesday with updates. i'll also do some reviews on dvds & equipment & let you guys know what works for me.

Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer

I tried this before about a year & a half ago. I didn't really like it then. But i loveee watching youtube gurus & two of them really like this so i thought maybe I'll give it another shot & so far i really like it!

I'm a concealer under foundation person. It doesn't work for me to put it over the foundation. to each their own. I bought this in Ivory. I'm between MAC's NC 25-30. i dab it on. it actually doesn't need too much. I blend it out & set it with the white powder in Neutrogena's concealer, i can't recall the name. It reminds me of the Makeup Forever HD powder. Anyways, I don't have a problem with creasing or caking up. I do have combo/oily skin & it lasts for me. I alternate between this and the Hard Candy concealer. So far i like it a lot.

Face Wipes

so for about i guess 8 months i'd been using Neutrogena Make-up Remover Face Wipes. I would alternate between all of them because they all worked great. I never have an issue with breakouts & it claims to remove all of your make-up & it really did, at least for me.
however about 2 weeks ago i decide why not try something new. i should know better than to do this because i have combo/oily skin & it's sensitive to break outs. but i was in a mood so i did. i saw the Garnier Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure Face wipes & saw that they were oil free & decided to try them out.
Keep in mind this is a pre step to my cleansing routine because i like to wear full coverage make-up so it makes sure i get it all off. This one just doesn't do it for me. i feel like i have to scrub to get the same results as the Neutrogena ones. I'm going to definitely go back to those. The garnier ones do not make me break out, there really isn't anything wrong with them & maybe for someone that doesn't wear heavy make up it may work out for them. i just personally prefer Neutrogena wipes.
